Vitamin C serums are best for your face. They tend to remove all the dark blemishes and spots and also provide a fair lighter complexion. Since it's rich in antioxidants, it aids in your skin's natural regeneration process. This helps to repair damaged skin cells. In all, you achieve radiant skin within a few days of use. Due to such great benefits that it provides, a good vitamin C serum costs way more than other ordinary ones.

But today we have a brand called "Mamaearth" which provides the vitamin C serum at a budget-friendly price without compromising its goodness and benefits.

This serum was so much on popularity, many influencers were posting their reviews and comments which made me feel - Why not give it a try?

It's been 30 days since I am using this and today I'm super excited to share with you my experience on how it worked for me and what all I liked and disliked about this serum.

What Mamaearth Skin Illuminate Vitamin C Face Serum Claims?

Mamaearth is an Indian brand that is said to be Asia's first Made Safe certified brand that offers 100 percent toxin-free and natural skincare products. It's also a cruelty-free and plastic positive brand that makes it stand out from others.

Here are the benefits and features the serum offers -

The goodness of vitamin C and turmeric helps in reducing all the dark spots and hyperpigmentation thus making your skin radiant and glowing. It's really good at tackling wrinkles and fine lines and hence is a perfect solution for all age groups. It also has the extracts of nymphae flower and squalane. Squalane is a detoxifier that helps in protecting the skin from any damage. Generally, it makes the skin look more healthy and nourished. Whereas nymphaea alba flower moisturizes the skin, helps in the regeneration of skin cells, and reduces infections, redness, and even fine lines, and wrinkles.

Note - You can check out the list of other ingredients at the back of the serum bottle.

Finally, the most important thing is, this serum is free of harmful toxins like parabens, mineral oils, and silicones, etc.

Packaging :

I do personally love the packaging. This skin illuminating serum does not come with the traditional dropper type packaging.

Instead, it's a long cylinder bottle with a pump on it. We need to press the pump in order to draw out the product. This protects the serum from getting exposed to the atmosphere. It's sturdy and lightweight as it's not made up of glass. Hence, no extra care needed indeed.

Texture and consistency :

Normally serums have a very smooth transparent texture. But here this serum has a smooth milky white-colored consistency. It's a lightweight formula and hence easily gets absorbed into the skin.

It does not make your skin oily rather gives you a matte finish within a few minutes.

Fragrance :

The fragrance of Mamaearth skin illuminating face serum is kinda lemony as it has vitamin c. The smell is mild enough and vanishes after 5- 6 minutes of applying. I think the fragrance is too mild and can be used by everyone.

How to Use it?

Pump out the required amount of serum onto your fingertips/palm. Apply dots all over the face and neck and then gently massage it until fully absorbed by your skin. Make sure you massage in an upward direction.

For best results, apply regularly at least once a day.

Who all can use it?

Anyone to be frank. Whether you are a man or a woman if you have skin-related issues like, dark spots, uneven skin tone, acne, then go and give it a shot!

My experience with Mamaearth skin illuminate Vitamin C serum:

After becoming a mother, I never used to find time for any skincare. As a result of which my skin became dull, got some pimples and dark spots. The glow which I had right after my delivery was fully gone, maybe due to a reduction in the pregnancy hormones!

Finally, I started looking for a product that I can use at least once a day to repair all my skin-related issues. That's when I came across the " Mamaearth skin illuminate vitamin c serum" and learned about its 21-day challenge!

Without a second thought, I went and ordered it. And trust me guys the result it gave me just within a week was really surprising. I never ever thought it would work so well on me!

It moisturized and hydrated my skin from within and every time I used to wake up with soft and supple skin. I even noticed lightening of my dark spots within a week. Moreover, it never made my oily skin oilier. I also never had any breakouts or acne after using it except one or two during my periods.

Now it's been a month since I have started using this (P.S - my first bottle is about to finish and I have already repurchased another one) and my skin has cleared a lot. It has literally given me a glowing skin with an even skin tone.

I am really happy and satisfied with this amazing product. I have also started using another serum by Mamaearth along with this Vitamin C face serum. Really loving that too. I will definitely review it shortly.

How Often Should you use it?

Though they recommend us to apply it twice a day, I used to do it only at night before going to bed. Using it in the mornings was not very preferable for me as I have read that getting exposed to strong sunlight after applying any vitamin C serums can oxidize the formula on your skin.

This may darken or even damage your skin. If you still want to use it during the day, then always put in a good SPF sunscreen after applying your Vitamin C serum.
