Hope you all are safe and are doing good! So, it's been quite long since I wanted to try out a smoothie recipe. To be frank I have never made one. Hence I thought why not take it as a quarantine challenge and prepare it out.

And to my surprise the results were too delicious to be expressed!

So , any ways you all have been trying out so many recipes during this quarantine , why not give this recipe a try! Trust me this super easy, quick, healthy and tasty recipe will make your mornings more refreshing ! Give your daily boring breakfast a simple healthy change with a nutritious smoothie.

So without any further do let’s jump into the preparation!

Yellow Morning Smoothie Recipe | Healthy Smoothie

Prep Time - 5 mins | Servings - 2

Ingredients - ( 1 cup = 240 ml)

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt/ whole milk yogurt

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple (diced)

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango ( diced)

  • 1 full banana chopped

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 pinch crushed cardamom (optional)

  • Mint leaves ( for garnishing)

How To Prepare -

  1. Take a blender add the pineapple and orange juice to it.

  2. Now add the Greek / whole milk yogurt.

  3. Then add all the frozen fruits ( pineapple , mango , banana ) to the blender.

  4. Finally add 1 tsp finely grated ginger and a pinch of powdered cardamom. You can skip cardamom powder if you don't like it's taste.

  5. Now blend all the ingredients together until it forms a smooth consistency.

  6. Pour into a glass jar /cup and garnish it with a small mint on top.

  7. Your healthy and tasty morning breakfast is ready.

Tips and Notes To remember -

  • If you are planning to have just the smoothie for your breakfast then use a full-fat Greek yogurt in your recipe.Else you can go with a fat-free Greek yogurt.

  • Cut and store your fresh fruits in zip lock packets to freeze overnight.This saves time and effort to prepare it the next morning.

  • In case you do not prefer frozen fruits , you can use 1 cup of crushed ice along with freshly cut fruits for the smoothie. Since using crushed ice may sore the throat I prefer overnight frozen fruits.

  • Last but not the least you can prepare variety of smoothies with different fruits and veggies.Just remember one single rule - choose and group the ingredients with their colour. For example - here I have used all yellow colored fruits similarly you can use red colored ones together for your smoothie.
