Bombay Grilled Egg Sandwich | Easy and Delicious Egg Sandwich at Home

Hey guys!
Today I have come up with something very special to me.When it comes to breakfast , brunch , snack or a minimal dinner ,sandwiches are the best.There are a huge variety of sandwiches - veg sandwich , chicken sandwich , grilled paneer sandwich and many more. It's a daily go to snack loved by all age groups whether you are a kid , a teen or an adult.
Coming back to our recipe ,Bombay Grilled Egg Sandwich is one of the signature recipes of my father. Yeah you heard it right, He is a great cook! 😁 Since childhood , I used to love my dad’s grilled sandwiches. Even my friends used to love it. Then I thought why not share this special recipe with you guys so that you can also enjoy the simple , healthy and tasty grilled sandwich.
Here, I will be sharing with you the Egg sandwich recipe. But you can stuff it with veggies like tomato and cucumber or with chicken if you are not an egg lover. It's your choice! I This sandwich recipe doesn't use any mayonnaise layer as it then changes its original taste. However , if you still want to use it go ahead .
Bombay Grilled Egg Sandwich| Easy Sandwich Recipe for Breakfast , Brunch or Snack
Prep Time : 5 minutes | Grilling Time : 5 minutes | Total Time : 10 minutes
Ingredients
Sandwich Bread - 4 slices
Butter
Grated Cheese (optional)
Eggs - 2
Coriander leaves - (100g)
Ginger - ½ piece
Garlic - 3-4 cloves
Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
2 Green chilly
1 tsp of Tamarind puree
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
How To Prepare
Green Chutney
Add Coriander leaves,Ginger,Garlic,Pepper Powder,Green chilly,Tamarind puree,sugar and salt in a blender. Blend until its like a fine pesto.
Grilled Sandwich
Boil the eggs. After boiling , let it cool and then peel off the shells. Cut the eggs vertically using a thread (preferably) into 4 parts.
To assemble the sandwiches , place the 2 bread slices and spread a lay of butter on the inner sides of both the slices.
Generously spread the prepared green chutney on the inner sides of each slice. You can limit the amount of chutney depending on your taste.
Now , layer the sliced eggs on on each side and top the sides with grated cheese / small cheese slices
Top both the slices one above the other . Repeat the steps for the other two slices.
Toast them in a toaster until golden brown and nicely grilled.
Cut and serve hot with side ketchup and mayo(optional).
