Facemasks are my favorite when it comes to a skincare routine. I Love using both homemade and market bought products to treat my oily and acne-prone skin. Achieving a tight and toned skin makes me feel satisfied with the product. Today I will be reviewing one such brand called the Dot n key which has gained popularity within 1-2 years of launching. It’s a fresh take on skincare and is an indigenous brand. I have been using their Dot & Key Pollution + Acne Defense Green Clay Mask and today I'm super excited to share with you my experience on how it worked for me and what all I liked and disliked about this serum.

Packaging :
OMG, it’s the packaging which actually attracts people. It’s super cute and unique. I was really impressed by their packaging.
It comes in a pear-shaped glass bottle with a white twist and open lid. It also has a small applicator or cosmetic spatula for applying the mask. It has an airtight packaging and is not too heavy to be carried around. But you definitely need to take some extra care while traveling with it as it’s made up of glass.
Texture and consistency :
It is a green clay mask which has a very thick creamy consistency.
It glides on to your skin smoothly and has a very good non -comedogenic formula which instantly tightens your face and deeply cleanses your pores.
It does not make your skin oily rather gives you a matte finish within a few minutes.
Fragrance :
The fragrance of Dot n Key Pollution + Acne Defence Green Clay Mask is a kinda herbal pleasant fragrance. The smell is mild enough and vanishes after 5- 6 minutes of applying. I think the fragrance is too mild and can be used by everyone.
How to Use it?
Cleanse your face thoroughly with warm water so that your pores open up. You can also steam your face and apply a gentle scrub to exfoliate your face prior to applying the mask.
Once done, take the applicator provided with it or any flat brush and slather an even medium to a thick layer of the green clay mask all over your face including your neck.
Let it dry for 15 min and then wash off with lukewarm water. If you want you can finish it off with some green tea or ACV toner.

Anyone who has a combination to oily skin or acne-prone skin can definitely give it a try. This is applicable to both men and women.
My Experience With Dot & Key Pollution + Acne Defense Green Clay Mask :
I always had a combination to oily skin type. In addition to that acne has always been a part of my life. If my skin was not treated properly then it was obvious to have pimple or acne issues. After facing 2-3 severe acne problems I had decided to build up a proper regular skincare regime that would help my skin to stay healthy, clean, and glowing.
And when it comes to a good skincare routine, face masks have to play an important role. I usually go for natural homemade face packs as they are much safer options to be tried and tested. But I also purchase 1 or 2 good face packs that can help in clearing out any severe acne bumps or pimples quickly.
Mamaearth neem face mask was one such product that I loved using. But when it was about to finish, I wanted to try out something new rather than repurchasing the same product. And that’s when I came across this very newly launched brand called the Dot n Key.
The moment I saw their packaging I literally fell for it. It’s done in such a cute and unique style that anyone will love it at first sight. After going through their whole range of products I decided to try out their “ green clay mask “ which was designed mainly for oily and acne-prone skin and it also had very good customer reviews.
The first time when I applied it on my face I was really amused by how I could feel my skin and open pores getting tightened up. I also gave a very mild cooling sensation as if calming down my pimples and acne. I just felt so relaxed and sorted after applying this product.
After 15 mins I washed my face with lukewarm water and oh you guys my skin felt super clean and purified. I felt as if all my dead skin cells had waved goodbye to me. It strips all the oil from your face giving a matte finish. Since it makes your skin dry I would not recommend it to people with extremely dry skin. And also after using such products make sure you moisturize your face to keep it hydrated.
I have been using this for a month now and I have noticed a huge difference in my pimple and acne problems. It has literally helped in providing a glowing skin with an even skin tone. I also never had any breakouts after using this product. Trust me guys the result it gave me just within a week was really surprising. I never ever thought it would work so well on me! I am definitely gonna include this in my Aug favorites list.
PS - Since during this pandemic situation going out and traveling was not worth considering, I can’t give you a genuine review of the anti-pollution property of this mask. But will surely update you if I happen to experience it in the future.
How Often Should You use it?
For best results, apply it twice a week. In case you are more towards home remedies, then using this twice a month in addition to your natural face packs will provide many amazing results.
I like to include this mask in my nighttime skincare routine once or twice a week. I also like to use it as a spot treatment for my newly emerging pimples.
Since this serum purifies your face completely, your face might feel dry. Hence always use a night serum or moisturizer post using the face mask.

This is an absolute go for both men and women. Men who have a pimple or acne-prone dull-looking skin should definitely invest in this face mask. It simplifies your whole skincare routine in case preparing a homemade natural face mask seems to be a tedious task for you. People with dry skin should stay away from it as it can strip off all the natural oils from your skin and make it drier.
I personally love this product as it has actually given me some amazing results. Would definitely recommend it to people with similar skin type and issues.
