Hey mommies and daddies !

Last week I had shared with you guys " The All in One Food Chart for 6-8 month old Babies". This article is basically the continuation of that. Here I will be covering the food chart , type of foods , food recipes and few other necessary information for 9 - 12 month old babies.

There would not be very huge differences between the food charts but yes you still need to follow them correctly. No matter what continue breastfeeding along with other day to day meals.

So without any further ado let's get started !

Things to Remember while giving them solids -

You might be aware of these from my previous article but still want to mention few of them with respect to this particular topic.super excited to give them all sorts of food together to speed up their solid intake. But please do not do that ! Give them time to adapt to new tastes , smell and texture. Other than that you also need to follow certain things like -

  1. It's now time to give them finger foods if in case your baby was refusing it previously. This is to improve their chewing skills further.

  2. Though there are not much changes in the type of foods that can be given , still you need to follow the 1 food for 3 days rule while introducing new food for the first time.

  3. Give them seasonal fruits and veggies.

  4. Encourage them to drink water using a glass or at least a sipper.

  5. Hygiene and cleanliness remains a must! Sterilize their sippers , bottles , plates and utensils.

  6. Prepare required quantity food for your baby and avoid refrigerated foods.

  7. In case you need to store them in refrigerator , always use air tight glass containers.

By 9 months your baby would have mastered the art of having solids.Giving him the same old menu might make him bored or get disliked toward food. Also, continue with finger foods which you may have started at 8 months of age.

Finally as I always say , nothing can replace the nutrients they get from breastfeeding hence , continue with it.
