Banana Oatmeal Pancake Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time : 20 minutes | Total Time : 25 minutes
Ingredients (1 cup = 240ml)
For preparing pancakes -
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 eggs
1 banana
1 cup of rolled or instant oats
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda ( optional)
2 tbsp honey
½ cup pure maple syrup
1 ¼ cup whole milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract ( optional)
½ tsp salt
For Garnishing -
Maple Syrup / Chocolate sauce
Some cut bananas or berries
How To Prepare The Pancakes
Preparation of pancakes -
Take a large bowl and whisk together all the dry ingredients - wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Now in the blender add the banana, oats, eggs, maple syrup, milk, honey, vanilla extract, butter, and blender until we get a smooth consistency.
The batter might be thick and hence do not add more than 1-2 tbsp of milk to make it into the desired consistency. If added more pancakes may turn out flat and thin.
Now pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones in the bowl and whisk until no lumps are present.
Heat a pan or a skillet and once it becomes hot, scoop some amount of the batter and pour it in on to the pan.
Do not spread it too much as we do for dosa. Now allow it to cook.
Once you notice bubbles are being formed on the top side and the bottom side has got a nice light brown color, flip and let the other side cook until it becomes brown.
Prepare 3-4 pancakes and serve hot with some chocolate sauce or maple syrup and also some cut bananas.
